Terms and Conditions – Shoreline Medical
These Terms and Conditions govern the sale of Shoreline (UK) Limited’s medical refrigeration equipment and associated services, including pharmacy refrigerators, CRT ambient cabinets, and vaccine cold chain storage units. By placing an order with Shoreline Medical, you agree to the following Terms.

1.0 Introduction
1.1 Welcome to Shoreline (UK) Limited. These terms and conditions (hereinafter referred to as “Terms”) govern the sale of our medical refrigeration products and related services. By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.
1.2 These Terms are provided in accordance with UK consumer laws, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

2.0 The Supplier

3.0 Placing Orders
3.1 It is your responsibility to ensure that the products ordered meet your clinical or operational requirements. Product specifications are available on request.
3.2 By placing an order, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms.
3.3 All orders are subject to availability and Shoreline reserves the right to decline any order.

4.0 Order Cancellations / Returns
4.1 Orders may be cancelled free of charge before dispatch or before a confirmed delivery date.
4.2 Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your products without providing a reason. This right applies only if the goods have not been unpacked, assembled, or used, and are in a re-saleable condition. A re-saleable condition is defined as an appliance in its original packaging with no signs of use. The 14-day cancellation period begins the day after you receive the goods.
4.3 If exercising this right:
  • Goods must be returned in original, re-saleable condition and packaging.
  • Return carriage costs are the buyer’s responsibility (or can be deducted from refund if arranged by Shoreline).
  • A 15% re-stocking fee will apply to cover inspection, testing, and repackaging.

5.0 Description of Goods
5.1 While every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of descriptions, specifications, and advertising on our site, the information provided is for illustrative purposes only. Actual product specifications may vary.
5.2 Shoreline (UK) Limited makes no warranties regarding the accuracy of the product information, and it is your responsibility to ensure that the products meet your requirements.

6.0 Payment and Price
6.1 The total price payable for the goods will be stipulated at the time of placing your order. This includes VAT but excludes UK mainland delivery charges, which will be indicated at the time of ordering.
6.2 Payments upon invoicing can be made via Paypal, BACS.
6.3 All prices include VAT at the prevailing rate and are subject to change without notice. Any pricing errors on our website will be corrected and communicated to you before confirming your order.

7.0 Delivery
7.1 Freestanding & Undercounter Appliances
Freestanding and undercounter Shoreline Medical appliances are delivered via a technical logistics service, with a 2-person team providing:
  • Delivery to the room of choice
  • Positioning of the unit
  • Unpacking and recycling of all packaging
Standard delivery is to UK mainland addresses and typically takes 3–5 working days. You must inform us in advance of any site restrictions, including:
  • Stairs, narrow access, or lack of lift access
  • Parking limitations
  • Restricted delivery windows
If delivery cannot be completed due to access issues not disclosed in advance, a re-delivery charge of £90.00 + VAT may be applied. This charge is discretionary and will be confirmed on a case-by-case basis.

7.2 Tabletop & Portable Appliances
Tabletop and portable products are delivered via pallet courier to goods-inwards or kerbside only.
This method does not include unpacking or installation. The receiving site must be able to accept palletised deliveries. If delivery fails due to site restrictions not disclosed in advance, a re-delivery charge of £70.00 + VAT may be applied (discretionary).

8.0 Receipt of Goods
8.1 On delivery, check packaging for signs of damage and report issues to the courier and Shoreline immediately.
8.2 Any damage not recorded at delivery and not reported within 48 hours may not be covered.

9.0 Reporting Damage
9.1 You must unpack and inspect all products for damage within 48 hours of delivery. If any damage is discovered, you must notify us in writing within this time frame. Claims for damages reported outside of this 48 hour window may not be accepted.
9.2 To report damages, contact our customer care team at office@shoreline-uk.com with your name, order number, and details of the damage.

10.0 Faulty Goods
 
10.1 Goods that are received as faulty will be repaired or replaced with the same model within a reasonable time frame, subject to availability. If a replacement is not available, a full refund will be issued or an alternative like-for-like model upon agreement.
 
10.2 Faulty goods must be returned to our facilities for inspection at our cost. Appropriate shipping arrangements and instructions will be provided by Shoreline (UK) Ltd.  Goods must be in their original packaging with all accessories and instructions included, missing items on return will be chargeable to you.
10.3 All returns require an authorised RMA form to be completed. Forms available at:

10.4 Goods being returned to Shoreline (UK) Ltd must have an an authorised RMA, and a completed checklist for returns. The customer must ensure the appliance has been cleaned and the interior sanitized. If the unit is soiled beyond what is deemed acceptable, a soilage decontamination surcharge of £55.00 + VAT may be applied. Any missing components will be charged at standard rate. The goods must be in a clean re-saleable condition with packaging.

11.0 Manufacturer’s Guarantee
11.1 Shoreline Medical products are covered by the following standard manufacturer’s guarantees from the date of delivery:
  • 5-Year Warranty (60 months) for all freestanding pharmacy refrigerators and CRT ambient cabinets
  • 2-Year Warranty (24 months) for all portable coolers (e.g. SMP41, SMP65) and medical freezers
11.2 All warranties are registered automatically from the point of delivery — no customer action is required to activate coverage.
11.3 Warranty cover includes:
  • Parts and labour for faults arising from manufacturing defects
  • Remote technical diagnosis and dispatch of replacement components
  • On-site engineer attendance where required (depending on location)
  • Like-for-like replacement where a repair is not viable or economical
11.4 Warranty cover is subject to the product being:
  • Installed and operated in line with Shoreline’s instructions
  • Maintained in a clean and safe condition
  • Free from misuse, modification, or damage
11.5 Shoreline does not accept liability for loss or damage to contents (e.g. vaccines, medicines, clinical samples) stored within any appliance. Customers are advised to maintain appropriate insurance for temperature-critical contents.

12.0 Service and Repairs Process
12.1 Shoreline maintains a network of field engineers for on-site service support. In most cases, faults are diagnosed remotely and necessary parts are dispatched for fitting by a qualified engineer.
12.2 If on-site repair is not possible, a return to Shoreline’s service centre may be arranged.
12.3 All returns require an authorised RMA form to be completed. Forms available at:

12.4 All returned units must be:
  • Emptied and cleaned with antibacterial spray
  • Internally dry to prevent mould or cross-contamination
  • Properly packaged (ideally in original packaging or replacement box)
12.5 If a unit is returned and no fault is found, service charges may apply.

13.0 E.&O.E.
13.1 Shoreline Medical takes every care to ensure product information and pricing is accurate. We reserve the right to correct any errors or omissions.

14.0 Legal Rights
14.1 These Terms do not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

15.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
